Hang Time Meets Real Time: Behind the scenes of bringing The Leonardo Hoops Event at SAP SAPPHIRE together
SAP’s annual juggernaut of an IT conference, Sapphire Now, is time of year for the global ERP software company to showcase its latest innovations in software upgrades, functionality, and business value. In years past, some of the unveilings have been SAP Simple Finance, SAP S/4HANA, S/4HANA Cloud, and SAP Cloud Platform. Introduced at last year’s Sapphire Now, (and one of this year’s hottest topics that SAP is looking to showcase) is SAP Leonardo; a digital innovation system that leverages SAP Cloud Platform to integrate new technologies such as IoT, Machine Learning, Analytics, Blockchain, and more.
Inspired to showcase some of SAP Leonardo’s unique functionality, SAP teamed up with the Denver based SAP consulting company, NIMBL, to create custom applications that track athletic performance and give real time analytics on speed, endurance, accuracy, and physical potential. Thus, the SAP Leonardo Basketball Event and NIMBL Bball Skills challenge were born.
SAP Leonardo: Your renaissance plan to run a hybrid SAP Landscape – on-premise S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform
In our current age of digital transformation, companies are now faced with the critical decision of running their business either on-premise or in the cloud. A third option, however, has arisen with SAP Leonardo – a collection of multiple tools within the SAP Cloud Platform that allows businesses to run multiple SAP solutions in a hybrid landscape. We maintain our brick and mortar systems on-premise and then leverage SAP Cloud Platform for selective innovation to solve specific challenges or create new opportunities.
This webinar will provide the lessons we’ve learned from our SAP Cloud Platform and Leonardo deployments in 2018. In addition, we will cover the uses cases supported by SAP Leonardo, the challenges during deployments, and efficiencies gained when completed.
In this session attendees will:
- Learn the multiple components and capabilities of SAP Leonardo
- Hear how the technical components deployed to connect both cloud and on-premise systems
- Discuss the business case used to get projects kicked off based on the various deployments completed
- Understand better the project team and resource requirements utilized when running a SAP Leonardo project
